The Afropmap of Space invites listeners to explore the roots and routes of the Black world through sound – transcending time, space and borders, with shifts from Gwo Ka to Ghoema to Gnawa.
Since 2000, Boeta Gee afrobeated, funked, hip hopped, reggaed, souled (not sold), rhumbaed, kwassa-kwassaed, soukoused, kwaitoed and jazzed (acid, soul and otherwise) his way around venues, festivals and radio stations from Cape Town to Sweden. He has been a founding member of
two legendary Cape Town collectives – Fong Kong Bantu Sound System and Future Nostalgia. His sets would be described as eclectic, but the essential ingredient would always be the groove. More recently, the groove has toned down, as he invites audiences to listen more closely.
